Happy New Year 2008

The new year has arrived with eight months of The Elder Storytelling Place behind us. 230 stories have been published from 70 writers with about 1300 comments – an achievement due to all of you who have generously shared your tales and the faithful readers who are equally generous in commenting and adding your thoughts and memories.

It’s worthy of a celebration, so stand up and give yourselves a hand. This collection is a remarkable achievement and I look forward to many more stories in 2008, from writers old and new to this blog. Keep 'em coming.

Thank you Ronni, for providing the place and space for so many to express themselves and for others to read and enjoy.

I wish you a year of fun, laughter and love.

Thank you, Ronni, for putting a few of my jottings on your Story Telling Place. It gives me an opportunity to blog once in awhile without the stress. I love this site and I love Time Goes By.

I'm reaching back in memory for a few other things that happened to me that are fit to print. ;)

I have a separate blog for the stuff that's not so PC.

Thanks, Ronni. You have let me stop boring my children with this stuff...

It has been fun to contribute some stories to you community storytelling corner. Even though it might be tedious, please give us readers a poke if you see your well of stories drying up. I think it is amazing that you have posted 230 stories all ready. Who would have thought that possible?

Ronni, you really started a winner here. I hope you receive many more stories in 2008! Happy New Year!

This is an every day read for me. Thanks for your effort.

Ronni,

What a service to us all you have provided. You might think about doing an anthology that you could self-publish. It costs next to nothing to do on a publish-to-order basis through Amazon. Also, you might talk to one of my favorite storytellers, Connie Goldman to get her thoughts. If you have read any of her books, you know she likes to tell a story, then do a commentary before moving on to the enxt story.

She tells me, by the way, that she always start her day by reading the latest posting on this storytelling blog.

Best wishes for a joy-filled 2008, and may it be ever so great for you!

David
