No Elder Story Today

That's right. The elder story bank is empty.

This blog is ten months old and contains a wealth of lore, history, humor and wisdom from elders who live all over the world. You could do worse than spend a couple of hours reading here. The rewards are large.

With the usual exceptions regarding racism, sexism, misogyny, libel, etc., all stories are welcome and published more or less in the order received. If you would like to contribute, some guidelines are below. More information is available here.

  • Anyone who is age 50 or older may submit stories.

  • You do not need to keep a blog or any other kind of website to submit stories. In fact, non-bloggers especially are encouraged to join in.

  • Stories may be original or may have been previously published in a magazine, other website or blog.

  • To avoid this blog becoming a promotional tool for authors and publishers, it may not be an excerpt from a published book.

  • Of course, all stories must be written by you.

  • Stories must be submitted in the body of an email; never as an attachment.

  • You may submit as many stories as you wish, but only one per email.

  • Although this overall website is copyrighted by me, authors retain all rights to their stories.

To send a story, click the "submit a story" link in the upper left sidebar and paste your story into the email form. I look forward to a deluge of new stories...

Ronni, I do hope we all manage to fill your story bucket. I've read so many good stories here.

Oops, I thought I had sent 2 last month (maybe they were already published?). I'll check again, Ronni.
