Santa Baby - 2009

By Ellen Younkins

Santa Baby - it’s a brand new year
and all I want is some Christmas cheer.
Some diamonds or some rubies would be nice
If you want to be good to me, take my advice.

Send me some stocks and bonds rated triple A
before you go off with your reindeer and your sleigh.
I’d like some real estate underneath my tree
to flip for cash from the mortgagee.

A bank account in my name would be
the best thing under my Christmas tree.
So thank you Santa for being such a dear
and bringing these goodies to me each year.

Wonderful! I sent a similar request to Santa. He neither acknowledged ny note nor granted my requests. Alas, I fear like me, Santa is aging!

Ellen,

What a cute and clever poem...I enjoyed all the fun tidbits you put in there, especially the line about getting cash from the mortgagee.

You've started my day with a smile....Thanks!
