Whoopee! not Wimpy!

By D. Sugar

I’d like to walk the streets at night
Without the nagging fear
That due to ads I’m fair game,
And a predator is near.

I’d like to see electronic games that
Pander to young boys,
Minus nudie graphics showing
Women as male toys.

I’d like to see a workplace using
One wage scale for both,
Ending the inequality that’s
Curbing female growth.

I’d like to see women unify
To focus on one goal
And fight so advertisers
Reverse our stereotyped role.

But most of all I’d like to see us
Use boycott to define
Our buying power clout
That can shrink a profit line!
