Social Security – Part 5: Other Proposals
Aunt Edith at 60

Aunt Edith at 50

[circa 1945] Aunt Edith never married though she had a boyfriend, Bill, for more than 30 years until he died when they were both in their 70s. When I phoned to commiserate, she told me not to be sad; she had had it better than most married folks, she said, because she and Bill saw one another so infrequently, the honeymoon never ended.

I love your Aunt Edith. And your chronicle of her.

Touching story - and beautiful woman!

Aunt Edith had it right. Hunky Husband and I were re-married for two years before we, again, lived in the same area. It was always "honeymoon" time when we were able to get together for a day or five.

Edith was such a beautiful woman. The pearls are just right for this photo.

She was a beautiful woman in the prime of her life...
