Physical Damages
Wednesday, 11 July 2012
Do you think watching too much television can give you a cold? As I've mentioned here the past two days, I've been captivated by (or is it a captive of) several seasons of the TV series Damages.
Then yesterday, I woke with a massive cold, virus, bug, whatever it may be and I'm as miserable as if it were a flu. Sleep is about all I'm good for right now.
There will be nothing useful from me here until this subsides.
At The Elder Storytelling Place today, Judith Cooper Eton: Watershed Birthdays
Didn’t your mum warn you about watching too much TV? Oh hang on, that was developing square eyes.
Hope you’re better soon.

Get well! This too will pass. I've just spent a miserable three days with a cold -- perhaps our penance for escaping the national heat wave here on the left coast.

Hope you feel better soon. Nothing like a summer virus to really feel depressing especially since summer only just got here in our part of the PNW

There are apparently side-effects from watching to much of the tube. Even for crabby old ladies. :-)

Nope. Sometime in the last week you touched a doorknob or shopping cart that someone who had a cold touched. Curses be on them! (But use this as an excuse to drink way too much water and lay on the sofa watching the rest of Damages) Ha! That'll show em!

:( This is a bummer, but I'm pretty sure it's due toa virus thaat's been lingering, gathering up enough strength to lay you low. Maybe it just doesn't care for the "Damages" series.

Ha, Peter's comment is too funny and must be an Aussie take on TV. I've never heard of square-eye syndrome. Not an excuse you would seek out, but a cold is a good reason for bed rest and TV if you can stay awake for it. Shake it off soon!

Yet another thing to be wary of: germs on DVD's....

Summer colds/flus/what have you are the worst. It's so hard to curl up with a nice soft quilt when you're dying of the heat. Hope you feel better very soon Ronni!

I've been watching Damages, too, but I'm just fine. Could be because I've been taking the last week or so off from it, though. The "serial dramas" are not ordinarily my cup of tea, but Glenn Close is worth watching in this one, for sure.

Oh no! Summer colds are the worst! I always thought it was that you'd go blind if you watched too much tv. Oh wait, that was ... guess Peter's got it right after all! Be well!

Do take very good care of yourself and let the cat help you be comforted. We all care about you.
