HOW NOT TO WAKE A LADY LION

This is probably not what he was expecting.

NEW MEDICARE CARD

If you recall, last year new Medicare cards were sent out with new random ID numbers rather than our Social Security numbers. Last week, medicare.gov announced that card mailing is complete and you should have received yours by now.

”Haven’t gotten your new Medicare card yet? Sign in to your secure MyMedicare.gov account to see your Medicare Number and print your official card. If you don’t have a MyMedicare account yet, sign up for free at MyMedicare.gov today!

“Alternately, you can call 1-800-MEDICARE and our call center representatives can help you get your new card.”

Rats. Those dog stories always make me cry.

What a wonderful assortment this morning! I was fascinated by the town of Whittier, and I'm impressed that people are able to live and work together pretty much side-by-side.

Photos of ghost apples recently appeared on an excellent Facebook page, Naturalist's Notebook. I highly recommend it.

Critters: Crabby, happy and playful, well-loved - we love 'em!

Thanks for a laugh and more today, Ronni.

A lady lion with a headache!! Stranger things have happened. :-)

Here is a 'loose translation' from Ms.Feline: "Not tonight, Mister, I'm exhausted". I did notice 'Mister' kept growling "sweet nothings" from the other side of the road. Smart guy!

And another 'Thank You' to John Gear for reminding me how much and why my family always wanted pets of all varieties. Tears came as I remembered them all; most dogs or kitties in our care for 10 to 15+ years. Interesting to me is even knowing we will outlive all of them, we do it anyway. Maybe it is a true Win/Win situation for humans and the critters.

I'm primarily a cat lady but loved the two dog stories! We're probably in the last months/year with one of our senior kitties--he's about 18 Y/O (15 of those years with us) and has kidney disease. He's a great cat.

Always love your Saturday postings; so many interesting things. But, "Denali" was particularly wonderful.

Thank you!
